About the role
PMG GLOBAL is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst for a client in Durham, NC, to analyze application architecture, integrations, and production issues while advising engineering teams. This hybrid role requires strong technical analysis, monitoring/log analysis, API, and SQL skills.
What you’ll do
Analyze application architecture, integrations, system behavior, and production issues
Advise engineering teams on technical solutions
Work directly with developers during troubleshooting
Analyze application logs and root causes
Create system flows, sequence diagrams, data mappings, interface contracts, and dependency maps
Support release validation and production readiness
What you’ll need
Experience as a Technical Systems Analyst working with software engineers and architects
Ability to independently understand application architecture, APIs, microservices, integrations, and system dependencies
Strong REST API and integration skills with Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Kibana, or Grafana
Strong SQL skills with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
Working knowledge of Java/Spring Boot, .NET, Python, JavaScript, cloud platforms, CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions
