About the role
Morgan Stanley seeks a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to oversee the stability and reliability of Wealth Management Investment Management application platforms, driving SRE practices, automation, and incident resolution. The role is onsite in Alpharetta, GA and requires hands-on technical leadership, strong infrastructure/coding skills, and 24/7 on-call incident response.
What you’ll do
Oversee stability and reliability of Wealth Management Investment Management application platforms
Lead production incident resolution and optimization initiatives
Drive SRE practices, automation, governance, and operational excellence
Manage outage incidents and coordinate user communications and other teams
Lead a small to medium team of engineers
Respond to emergencies on a 24/7 on-call basis
What you’ll need
10+ years in a production environment with a solid software development background
BS/MS or equivalent
5+ years leading a small to medium team
5+ years driving SRE principles and Chaos Engineering
Strong scripting and cloud development experience with Shell, Python, Perl, and AWS/GCP/Azure
Experience with databases, batch scheduling, observability tools, and incident management
