About the role
Lead and grow an engineering team owning merchant-facing payments tools, modernizing sign-in, account settings, security, and payment links while driving technical standards and operational health.
What you’ll do
Lead engineering teams with accountability for delivery, people development, technical standards, and operational health
Modernize merchant sign-in, account settings, security, and payment links
Hold the technical bar in design reviews, incidents, and roadmap debates
Run hiring processes for .NET and Node.js engineers
Partner with senior technical leaders, including Staff+ engineers
Manage legacy modernization as a delivery program
What you’ll need
Experience managing engineers full time, including hiring, performance, and delivery accountability
Typically ~7+ years of experience including people leadership
Strong technical background in .NET systems and Node.js/JavaScript applications
Experience managing legacy modernization from .NET Framework to modern .NET
Fluency in API contracts, Kafka, observability, and reliability patterns
Experience in payments, banking, or regulated financial services with PCI DSS, SOC 2, or SOX familiarity
