About the role
NinjaOne is hiring a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join its Network Management Service team, building cross-platform network discovery and monitoring software for Windows and Linux. The remote role focuses on performance-sensitive systems and requires strong C++, Qt, and network programming expertise.
What you’ll do
Develop and evolve cross-platform software for device discovery, network monitoring, and network insight.
Build reliable, performance-sensitive systems software for Windows and Linux.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements.
Develop comprehensive test cases and test plans to ensure full functional coverage.
Debug and diagnose issues across application, operating-system, and network layers.
Work on highly critical network management systems.
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
7+ years of C++ development experience, with proficiency in C++ 14 or newer.
Proficiency with Qt, CMake, and cross-platform development on Windows and Linux/POSIX.
Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, asynchronous programming, and network protocols.
Experience debugging and diagnosing problems across application, OS, and network layers, plus creating test plans.
Familiarity with SNMP, SSH, ICMP, WMI, or similar network/system-management technologies; SNMP knowledge is particularly valuable.
