About the role
MTSI is looking for a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to lead cloud architecture, Kubernetes operations, and secure CI/CD for cloud-native catalog and metadata services supporting intelligence discovery. This onsite role in Dayton, Ohio involves mentoring engineers and collaborating with Air Force and Intelligence Community stakeholders.
What you’ll do
Lead cloud architecture for catalog and metadata services
Manage Kubernetes operations and cluster lifecycle
Maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and release workflows
Drive technical planning and architecture decisions
Mentor engineering team members
Collaborate with mission stakeholders
What you’ll need
5+ years of professional cloud engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Strong proficiency with Kubernetes (deployments, networking, scaling, operators, observability)
Deep experience with containerization (Docker) and microservice design patterns
Proficiency in a modern programming language (Python, C++ preferred)
United States citizenship with ability to obtain a secret security clearance
