About the role
Bankwell seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, secure, automate, and operate Azure-based cloud and enterprise infrastructure using Terraform, supporting modernization, data, and AI platforms in a regulated banking environment.
What you’ll do
Design, secure, automate, and operate cloud and enterprise infrastructure
Mature the Azure foundation for modernization initiatives
Support data and AI platforms
Ensure secure, reliable operations in a regulated banking environment
Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform
Manage Azure networking, identity, monitoring, security, and governance
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
7+ years in systems, cloud, or infrastructure engineering with senior-level cloud design and operations
4+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience
3+ years of hands-on Terraform experience including reusable modules, state management, code review, version control, and deployment pipelines
Strong experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Git, PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, and CI/CD
Strong understanding of Entra ID, RBAC, privileged access, conditional access, and cloud security controls
