About the role
Azalea Wang is hiring a Controller to lead the accounting function and finance operations for its wholesale footwear and fashion business. The role owns the full accounting cycle, including close, financial reporting, AR/AP, inventory, controls, and audit readiness.
What you’ll do
Lead the accounting function and serve as primary finance leader
Own the full accounting cycle, including month-end close and financial reporting
Manage wholesale receivables and payables, including retailer deductions and remittance reconciliation
Oversee inventory accounting, COGS, and cost of goods
Maintain internal controls and audit readiness
Lead direct reports and build team capacity
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years of progressive accounting experience in wholesale apparel, footwear, fast fashion, or retail
At least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
Demonstrated ownership of the full month-end close cycle
Hands-on wholesale AR experience, NetSuite/ERP experience, and advanced Excel skills
CPA, process improvement, cross-functional communication, and team management experience
