Clear Street is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to design and build the core execution infrastructure for its low-latency electronic trading platform, including FIX connectivity, market data handling, venue connectivity, real-time risk controls, and migration of algorithmic strategies.
What you’ll do
Design and build core execution infrastructure
Implement FIX connectivity and full order lifecycle management
Develop production-grade market data feed handlers
Build venue connectivity and real-time risk controls
Migrate algorithmic strategies to the new platform
What you’ll need
7+ years building high-performance, low-latency systems in C++ in production
Deep FIX protocol (4.2/4.4) and order lifecycle knowledge
Experience with ITCH/OUCH and production feed handlers
Expertise in kernel bypass, lock-free data structures, CPU affinity, memory layout, hot-path profiling
Familiarity with multicast messaging (Aeron/LBM), Linux performance tuning, and U.S. equity market structure
Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field
