About the role
Surgeon Decision Intelligence is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to productionize healthcare AI models, with ownership of MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and research data infrastructure.
What you’ll do
Own MLOps, model deployment, and monitoring
Build and maintain data infrastructure supporting research
Take ML systems from prototype to production and keep them running
Design and manage relational database schemas and migrations
Review code and mentor less experienced developers
What you’ll need
2+ years of professional software engineering experience in Python
Experience moving at least one ML system from prototype to production
Working understanding of model training, evaluation, and reproducibility
Hands-on experience with PyTorch, experiment tracking, model registries, and CI/CD
Experience building data pipelines and designing PostgreSQL databases
Experience working at a startup or small team owning work end to end
