About the role
Senior Data Engineer contract role focused on designing and implementing client data-platform solutions on Databricks, including data pipelines, lakehouse technologies, and streaming/batch processing. What you’ll do
Build and implement client data-platform solutions on Databricks
Design and develop data pipelines using lakehouse technologies
Implement batch, micro-batch, and streaming data ingestion patterns
Build job and workflow orchestration on Databricks or similar tools
Contribute to Databricks Center of Excellence initiatives
Act as a technical leader with minimal oversight
What you’ll need
At least 2 years of hands-on Databricks data pipeline engineering including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Delta Live Tables
Proficient in batch, micro-batch, and streaming pipelines with YAML configuration and Auto Loader
Experience with job/workflow orchestration using Databricks Workflows, Airflow, or dbt
Strong programming skills in SQL, Python/PySpark, or Java
Experience with big data platforms, cloud data warehouses, NoSQL, and containers
Familiarity with CI/CD, Databricks Asset Bundles, Terraform, and MLflow
