About the role
Fairwinds Technologies seeks a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to develop programmable logic for RF and communications systems. The role involves designing, implementing, and validating FPGA solutions for defense applications using Xilinx platforms.
What you’ll do
Design and verify FPGA logic using Verilog and VHDL in Vivado
Develop architectures for signal processing and high-speed data movement
Implement complex DSP algorithms into FPGA fabric
Integrate with embedded processors and data converters
Perform simulation, timing closure, and hardware debug
Support system integration and prototype-to-production transitions
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in EE/CE or related field
10+ years of FPGA design experience
Strong proficiency in Verilog/VHDL and Vivado
Experience with Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC
Familiarity with AXI protocols, CDC, and timing constraints
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
