About the role
Koniag IT Systems is seeking an Okta Subject Matter Expert to lead federal identity, credential, and access management initiatives remotely. The role focuses on Okta strategy, deployment, integration, security compliance, and mentoring.
What you’ll do
Lead Okta strategy, design, deployment, integration, and ongoing platform management
Support identity, credential, and access management initiatives for federal government customers
Ensure security compliance with federal frameworks and support ATO processes and security documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM issues across integrated systems
Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, integration guides, and operational runbooks
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members and stakeholders
What you’ll need
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
7+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) or related cybersecurity fields
5+ years of hands-on Okta design, deployment, and administration experience in large-scale enterprise environments
Okta Certified Professional, Administrator, or Consultant certification
Strong written and oral English communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
