Lumen Technologies is hiring a Senior Manager of Release Train Engineering to lead the Release Train Engineer organization, standardize ART execution across the SDLC, and drive continuous improvement through automation and AI-enabled approaches.
What you’ll do
Lead the Release Train Engineer organization and standardize Agile Release Train execution across the SDLC
Align delivery with business priorities and strengthen governance and performance visibility
Establish ART standards, governance routines, dashboards, planning calendars, escalation models, dependency-management practices, and reporting mechanisms
Coach RTEs and delivery leaders, manage performance, resolve organizational impediments, and influence senior stakeholders
Translate ART health, delivery data, risk, dependency exposure, and milestone confidence into executive-ready insights
Optimize delivery systems through continuous improvement, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, or agentic workflows
What you’ll need
10+ years in Agile delivery, release-train leadership, SDLC operations, or enterprise technology delivery
3+ years leading RTEs, Sr. RTEs, Scrum Masters, or Agile delivery leaders
Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean-Agile, SAFe, PI Planning, ART operations, SDLC execution, and portfolio governance
Proven ability to coach delivery leaders, manage performance, resolve impediments, and influence senior stakeholders
Ability to convert delivery, risk, dependency, and milestone data into executive-ready insights and improvement plans
Advanced experience with Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, ServiceNow SPM, Power BI, AI tools, flow metrics, and executive reporting; SAFe RTE/SPC or similar certification preferred
