About the role
Synergy Search is recruiting a Staff Accountant for a small private financial services cooperative in the Nashville area. The role owns the accounting function, supports daily loan accounting and processing, and gradually takes on treasury responsibilities.
What you’ll do
Own the accounting function
Support daily loan accounting and processing
Gradually learn treasury responsibilities
What you’ll need
2-5 years of accounting experience with full-cycle exposure
Solid GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement close experience
Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication and comfort in a very small team environment
Bachelor's degree in accounting strongly preferred; CPA licensed or CPA-eligible and actively working toward it
