About the role
BuildOps is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale frontend and backend systems for its AI-native contractor management platform, while mentoring teammates and working in a hybrid schedule.
What you’ll do
Design, build, and scale frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and integrations
Own projects from conception to production
Improve reliability and performance of systems
Mentor engineers and raise the quality bar
Work cross-functionally with stakeholders
Make technical decisions with incomplete information
What you’ll need
5+ years building and operating production systems at scale
Experience building features across frontend and backend systems
Strong software design and problem-solving skills
Experience with relational databases and data modeling
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch)
