About the role
Vetcove seeks a Staff Developer Experience Engineer to build an AI-native engineering workflow, owning developer tools, CI/CD, and automations so engineers ship faster and other teams can build. This fully remote role involves experimenting with coding agents and removing bottlenecks across the organization.
What you’ll do
Build and automate the development workflow with AI at every step
Put coding agents to work with context, tools, environments, and feedback loops
Own CI/CD and deployment, cutting slow tests, flaky builds, and manual steps
Turn repetitive engineering work into automations for triage, code review, testing, documentation, and releases
Give non-engineering teams the power to build via infrastructure and deployment paths
Find, introduce, and roll out new developer tools and coding agents
What you’ll need
Hands-on experience using coding agents and building AI-powered workflows
Strong software engineering fundamentals in designing, shipping, and operating production systems
Experience improving CI/CD, testing infrastructure, or internal tooling
Familiarity with agent SDKs, agent harnesses, and tool integrations
Technical judgment to know when to buy, build, or simplify
Comfort working across Python/Django and React/TypeScript stack
