About the role
Cerebras is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to architect and lead the observability platform, building scalable telemetry pipelines and improving reliability across AI hardware and software systems.
What you’ll do
Set architecture and roadmap for the observability platform
Build telemetry pipelines at scale
Improve reliability and developer experience across hardware and software systems
Drive adoption of observability practices across multiple teams
Operate and extend open-source observability systems
Manage observability cost and capacity planning
What you’ll need
8+ years software engineering, 4+ years observability platforms at massive scale
Deep expertise in open-source observability tools (Prometheus, Thanos, Mimir, etc.)
Experience with OpenTelemetry instrumentation
Strong Python and Go skills
Strong distributed systems and Kubernetes expertise
Track record of setting technical direction and driving adoption
