About the role

Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady LLP seeks an experienced Controller to lead financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and trust accounting. The role can be based in Buffalo or Tampa, or fully remote, and requires law firm experience with Aderant.

What you’ll do

Direct all accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and trust accounting
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
Manage cash flow, treasury, and collections
Oversee attorney trust accounting (IOLTA) and ensure compliance
Lead and develop the accounting and finance team

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience as Controller or senior finance leader
Law firm experience and hands-on Aderant experience required
Proficiency with SQL and SSRS reporting
Strong understanding of trust accounting and multi-jurisdictional compliance
Experience with legal billing, partner compensation models, and GAAP
