About the role
The Automation Engineer II supports and improves process control, automation, and laboratory/OT systems in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment, ensuring reliable and compliant operation.
What you’ll do
Support and improve process control, automation, and laboratory/OT systems
Ensure reliable and compliant operation in regulated environments
Execute system upgrades, integrations, commissioning, and qualification/validation
Troubleshoot routine to moderately complex problems independently
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, IT, Process Development, and vendors
Manage assigned workstreams and deliverables
What you’ll need
3–6 years of relevant experience in automation, process control, instrumentation, or OT systems
Hands-on experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, or HMI platforms
Working knowledge of GxP, ALCOA+ data integrity, and ISA/ISPE/GAMP 5 practices
Ability to troubleshoot independently and escalate appropriately
Ability to follow SOPs, deviation processes, and change control procedures
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field preferred
