About the role
EvolutionIQ is looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead AI/ML projects end-to-end, building reliable LLM-driven features and hybrid machine learning solutions for complex medical documents. The role emphasizes technical ownership, architectural decisions, and applying RAG, embeddings, and statistical techniques in a fast-paced startup environment.
What you’ll do
Lead AI/ML projects end-to-end from ideation through deployment
Develop reliable LLM-driven features and hybrid ML solutions
Make architectural and technical decisions for AI/ML systems
Guide the direction of AI/ML solutions across the product
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, SMEs, and other stakeholders
Improve training data and evaluation processes with labelers and subject matter experts
What you’ll need
5-8+ years writing performant Python code following modern best practices
Minimum 1 year building and deploying LLM-powered products
Experience leading technical projects from concept to production
Hands-on experience with statistical ML and hybrid approaches combining LLMs, RAG, and embeddings
Expertise in prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific applications
Experience building agentic or autonomous AI systems in production
