About the role
FanDuel is hiring a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate Kubernetes platforms, mentor engineers, and lead incident responses to improve service reliability and performance.
What you’ll do
Design, operate, and mature Kubernetes platforms
Mentor and influence engineers
Lead incident responses to enhance service reliability and performance
Drive operational improvements through automation
Define and track SLOs/SLIs for infrastructure services
What you’ll need
7+ years with platform infrastructure, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or related work
Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes and CNCF Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKS, CKAD)
Strong expertise with modern service mesh platforms and Envoy in production
Working knowledge of AWS, AWS Outposts or hybrid cloud, and distributed systems
Experience defining and tracking SLOs/SLIs and driving operational improvements through automation
Proficiency in at least one modern language, familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or eBPF tools like Cilium, and ability to mentor and influence engineers
