About the role
UnderDefense is hiring a SOC Team Lead to build and lead a 24/7 security operations team for a global SaaS client in Jacksonville, FL, owning incident response, KPIs, and continuous improvements. The role requires deep SOC/IR experience, hands-on Splunk expertise, and cloud/SaaS security skills.
What you’ll do
Build and lead a SOC team for a global SaaS client
Own 24/7 SOC coverage and incident response
Manage team performance, reporting, and improvements
Coordinate with the client's Security Engineering team
Oversee shift schedules and on-call rotations
Ensure SOC KPIs and SLAs are met
What you’ll need
5+ years in SOC/incident response roles including Tier 2/3 analyst experience
2+ years of SOC team lead, management, shift lead, or mentoring experience
Experience building and running 24/7 shift schedules and on-call rotations
Experience owning SOC KPIs and SLAs such as MTTA, MTTR, and SLA compliance
Hands-on Splunk SIEM with SPL query writing
Strong communication skills bridging SOC operations and Security Engineering
