SMX seeks a Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer to architect, automate, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for AI/ML platforms. The role combines hands-on platform engineering with customer-facing technical consultation across cloud and regulated environments.
What you’ll do
Architect, automate, and operate high-performance cloud infrastructure for AI/ML platforms
Act as a technical SME and communicate complex infrastructure concepts to customer stakeholders
Support solution demos and technical scoping discussions
Provision and manage scalable, secure AI/ML and DevSecOps architectures
Troubleshoot across compute, storage, networking, and application layers
Implement observability and telemetry using monitoring tools
What you’ll need
3 to 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
Strong Kubernetes operational proficiency including networking, RBAC, Pod Security, and secrets management
Experience designing and managing infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with security controls
Hands-on Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code and Git-based workflows
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling
Experience with AI/ML workloads and regulated or government cloud environments
