About the role
L3Harris Technologies seeks a Technical Manager to lead a software engineering organization of 15-25 engineers, overseeing the full software lifecycle, staffing, budgets, and program execution. The role requires extensive embedded software experience, leadership in software development methodologies, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
What you’ll do
Lead and direct a team of 15–25 software engineers
Provide technical and operational leadership across the full software lifecycle
Manage staffing allocation, budgets, and performance appraisals
Support program execution, innovation, and organizational development
Lead software process improvement using CMMI and Lean Six Sigma
Drive adoption of Agile/SAFe, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
What you’ll need
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years related experience, or Graduate Degree and 7 years, or 13 years in lieu of degree
3 years of management and leadership experience leading full software lifecycle development
5 years of experience with Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, and TDD
5 years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
8 years of experience leading software development through design, coding, integration, deployment, and sustainment
Ability to acquire DoD Secret Clearance and US Citizenship
