About the role
MBO Partners is hiring an AI Platform Software Engineer for a client to build standardized AI agents, guardrails, and workflows that enable enterprise engineering teams to adopt AI-assisted development safely and consistently. The contract role requires deep experience in Python/Java/JavaScript, LLM-based systems, AI evaluation, and platform engineering.
What you’ll do
Design and build standardized AI agents and agentic workflows
Develop and enforce AI guardrails for input/output validation, policy enforcement, and quality measurement
Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, architecture, security, and product
Support other engineering teams through reusable tools, standards, and best practices
Implement governance and controls for responsible AI use in software delivery
Build, deploy, and maintain software through CI/CD pipelines
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of software development experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript/Node.js
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, LLM-based agents, or agentic workflows
Familiarity with AI guardrails and evaluation concepts such as input/output validation, policy enforcement, and quality measurement
Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
