About the role
Amazon's EC2 Nitro ML Systems team is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a performance engineering team, build ML performance measurement and benchmarking infrastructure, and use performance insights to influence platform architecture, hardware design, and business decisions.
What you’ll do
Lead a performance engineering team
Build ML performance measurement and benchmarking infrastructure

Partner with product and program management teams
Communicate with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe technical designs and product strategy
Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage software engineers
What you’ll need
3+ years of engineering team management experience
7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle
Experience partnering with product or program management teams and communicating with senior leadership
