About the role
Methodist Healthcare is hiring a remote Senior Coding Operations Education Consultant to design, develop, and deliver coding and Health Information Management education for Physician Services. The role also supports coding quality assessments and collaborates with stakeholders to improve coding accuracy and physician documentation.
What you’ll do
Design, develop, and deliver coding and Health Information Management education
Develop and implement coding quality assessment
Deliver education informed by review findings
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve coding accuracy and physician documentation
What you’ll need
Five years of experience in Evaluation and Management and surgical coding plus reimbursement activities
Certification from AHIMA or AAPC, such as CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, COC, CDEO, or CPMA
Clinical background preferred
Previous chart abstraction experience preferred
