About the role
IDT seeks a Lead Infrastructure Software Engineer to lead a team building and maintaining Kubernetes-based Infrastructure as Code for defense systems, while overseeing cluster operations and deployment automation. The role requires deep Kubernetes, Linux, and automation expertise, plus management experience and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
What you’ll do
Lead team developing, deploying, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code for a Kubernetes-based enterprise product
Oversee Kubernetes cluster operations and resolve deployment and configuration issues
Advance deployment automation for defense systems
Manage and direct personnel while maintaining cost and schedule targets
Maintain strong documentation and operate in an agile work environment
What you’ll need
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience
7+ years of professional software development/deployment experience
High-level proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Kubernetes management services like Helm or ArgoCD
Strong Linux and Bash/Shell skills
Ability to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
