About the role
Valon is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead its Developer Infrastructure team, owning the strategy and execution of internal developer tools and workflows to improve reliability, security, usability, and engineering productivity. The role focuses on growing and mentoring engineers while building scalable developer platforms in a high-growth environment.
What you’ll do
Own strategy and execution for internal developer tools and workflows
Improve reliability, security, usability, and engineering productivity
Build and operate developer platforms and infrastructure
Translate internal customer needs into simple, scalable technical solutions
Align partners around a shared roadmap
Grow and mentor engineering talent
What you’ll need
6+ years of software engineering experience including 2+ years leading teams
Experience building or operating developer platforms, internal tools, CI/CD, test infrastructure, release automation, or observability
Strong systems thinking across developer workflows, application architecture, and production infrastructure
Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, Docker or Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks
Product mindset and ability to translate internal customer needs into solutions
Excellent communication skills and bias toward action and continuous improvement
