About the role
Virtasant is looking for a Lead/Senior Data Engineer to support a large enterprise healthcare program. The role involves building repeatable data pipelines into Snowflake on Azure, mapping data to a shared ontology, and publishing to a Neo4j graph.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain repeatable data connectors and pipelines
Bring enterprise source data into Snowflake on Azure
Map source data to a shared ontology
Publish processed data to a Neo4j graph
Validate incoming data, quarantine failures, and evolve schemas without breaking downstream consumers
Ensure data quality, lineage, reconciliation, and idempotent loads
What you’ll need
Production experience integrating messy enterprise source systems
Strong SQL and Python with hands-on Snowflake
Experience building layered pipelines with dbt or equivalent, with mappings and rules as versioned code
Experience with data contracts, data quality, lineage, and reconciliation
Experience with regulated healthcare data (PHI/PII/HIPAA) and multi-tenant data platforms with per-customer isolation
Azure infrastructure as code (Terraform/Bicep), graph database (Neo4j) experience, and US work authorization
