About the role
BetterHelp is hiring an Associate Director and Corporate Counsel to support its international expansion by handling cross-border legal, privacy, regulatory, employment, litigation, and corporate matters. The role is remote but requires periodic travel to the San Jose, CA office.
What you’ll do
Support BetterHelp’s international expansion
Advise on cross-border legal matters
Draft and negotiate agreements
Manage privacy, regulatory, employment, litigation, and corporate legal needs
Adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs
Operate independently and take ownership of projects and programs
What you’ll need
Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction
1-5 years' post-qualification experience or equivalent
3+ years of relevant consumer business, online platform, and/or health care legal experience
Experience advising an international technology business across multiple jurisdictions
Experience in one or more key European target markets (France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, or Italy)
Fluency in English
