About the role
Verkada is looking for a Lead Product Designer to own the design system for its AI-powered physical security platform, bridging UX design and frontend engineering through reusable components, documentation, and custom visual assets.
What you’ll do
Own the digital language of the product suite
Bridge the gap between UX designers and frontend engineering teams
Coordinate between Figma and Storybook or similar tools
Create and maintain an icon library
Create custom animations (Lotties, etc.) that add clarity and delight
Create bespoke illustration assets that give the brand personality
What you’ll need
7+ years in Product Design with 4+ years dedicated to Design Systems
Deep understanding of frontend development technologies and WCAG accessibility
Experience coordinating between Figma and Storybook or similar tools
Portfolio demonstrating polished visual design and systemic thinking
Skilled in icon design, motion design, illustration, and UX writing
