About the role
Crux is seeking a Senior Principal to lead debt mandates across its clean energy capital solutions business, overseeing deal execution from initial indication of interest through close and building repeatable debt products and processes. The role requires deep renewable energy project finance expertise, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and interest in leveraging technology and AI to improve debt execution.
What you’ll do

Oversee deal execution from initial indication of interest through close
Lead transaction teams and manage lender relationships
Develop debt products and repeatable processes
Prepare and present transactions to credit or investment committee
Lead and mentor deal teams, reviewing junior members' underwriting and modeling work
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
10-12+ years total experience, including 7+ years in renewable project finance, infrastructure debt, or structured lending
Deep expertise in project finance debt structures for solar, wind, and storage
Hands-on negotiation of credit agreements, intercreditor arrangements, and tax equity interplay
Experience leading transactions as primary negotiator and presenting to credit or investment committee
FINRA SIE, Series 79 and 63 required or willingness to obtain under Crux's broker-dealer sponsorship
