About the role
CivilGrid is hiring a Senior/Staff Computer Vision Engineer to build and ship computer vision and ML solutions for infrastructure construction data, from model development to production pipelines.
What you’ll do
Identify high-impact computer vision and ML opportunities
Develop vision-based solutions and models
Ship monitored, validated pipelines
Prepare datasets and train, fine-tune, and evaluate vision models
Integrate VLM/LLM APIs into production workflows
What you’ll need
6+ years building computer vision systems in Python
Strong classical CV skills including feature extraction, matching, and RANSAC
Strong ML CV skills including CNNs, transformers, and embedding spaces
Hands-on dataset preparation and model training/evaluation
Autonomous and able to take initiative
Strong verbal and written communication
