Lead Thermo Fisher Scientific's Cell & Gene Therapy business as Senior Director/General Manager, owning overall strategy, P&L, commercial and operational performance, and cross-functional growth initiatives. This onsite Carlsbad role requires deep life sciences industry leadership experience and the ability to drive profitable growth in a complex global matrix environment.
What you’ll do
Define and execute growth strategies using customer insights, market analysis, and data-driven decision making
Develop and implement portfolio and innovation roadmaps balancing near-term performance with long-term growth
Drive commercial execution, operational discipline, and performance against business objectives
Build productive relationships with customers, key opinion leaders, strategic partners, and internal stakeholders
Collaborate across research, development, and manufacturing-oriented businesses in a matrix organization
Lead cross-functional initiatives and translate strategy into measurable results
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, engineering, or a related field
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology, or related industry
Proven general management or business leadership with accountability for a significant P&L and profitable growth
Strong understanding of life sciences markets and cell biology and cell and gene therapy research trends
Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills in a global matrix environment
Advanced degree [MBA, MS, PhD] and ISO 9001/GMP familiarity preferred
