About the role
ARIVE is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, scale, and support backend services for its mortgage origination platform, working remotely. The role requires deep Node.js and TypeScript experience, reliability-focused production support, and collaboration across engineering teams.
What you’ll do
Design, scale, and support backend services
Own production issue resolution
Collaborate with product, frontend, DevOps, and engineering teams
Deliver reliable platform features
Serve as engineering point of contact for support escalations
Help build AI-powered capabilities into the platform
What you’ll need
5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience
Strong command of RESTful API design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and message queues
Deep experience with relational and NoSQL data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and zero-downtime migrations
Solid habits around automated testing, code review, and CI/CD
Working knowledge of secure SDLC practices, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OWASP Top 10
Experience with monitoring and APM tooling
