About the role
VIAVI Solutions seeks a Product Line Manager to lead the NITRO Mobile core service assurance portfolio, driving strategy, roadmap, and commercial success. The role works across engineering, data science, marketing, and sales to deliver cloud-native observability and AI-driven insights for communication service providers.
What you’ll do
Own product strategy, roadmap, architecture, and lifecycle management for the NITRO Mobile portfolio
Drive commercial success and market positioning across engineering, data science, marketing, and sales
Deliver cloud-native observability and AI-driven insights for communication service providers
Manage software product pricing and subscription models
Build business cases for major technology shifts
Translate complex technical challenges into executive-level value propositions
What you’ll need
8–10 years as technical Product Manager, PLM, or Solution Architect in telecom OSS/BSS, monitoring, or service assurance
Mastery of 4G EPC and 5G SA architectures, including AMF, SMF, UPF, NSSF, and NWDAF
Deep understanding of mobile core protocol stacks (HTTP/2, GTPv2, Diameter, SIP/IMS) and real-time capture infrastructure (DPI, virtual taps, eBPF telemetry)
Working familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS/Azure telco clouds, and distributed high-scale data architectures (Kafka, ClickHouse)
Familiarity with 3GPP performance management/trace specifications and TM Forum automation/service management frameworks
Demonstrated experience with software pricing, subscription models, business cases, and cross-functional executive influence
