About the role
Symbotic is hiring a Software Support Engineer to monitor, support, and maintain critical automation systems at customer sites, ensuring high availability and reliability while collaborating with engineering teams.
What you’ll do
Monitor, support, and maintain critical automation systems at customer sites
Ensure high system availability and reliability
Collaborate with various engineering teams
Participate in incident response, escalation management, and root cause analysis
Document issues, resolutions, runbooks, and technical processes
Participate in a 10x7 operational support model with on-call rotation
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 2+ years in technical support, NOC operations, systems engineering, site reliability, or similar operational support
Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Experience supporting production systems with incident response, escalation management, and root cause analysis
Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages such as Python
Willingness to work a hybrid schedule and participate in on-call rotation
