About the role
USAA is looking for an intermediate software engineer to join its Containers as a Service team, working on the enterprise OpenShift platform through software development, automation, and production support to improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
What you’ll do
Contribute to the enterprise OpenShift platform through software development and automation
Provide production support and troubleshoot application and system issues
Improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer experience
Deliver technology solutions across all phases of the software development lifecycle
Articulate technical challenges and solutions to peers and stakeholders
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
2 years of software development or systems engineering experience
1 year of experience delivering technology solutions across all phases of the software development lifecycle
Experience with one or more scripting or programming languages such as Go, Python, Bash, JavaScript, or Java
Understanding of cloud, container, and platform technologies and tools
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift, including cluster operations, workload management, or platform administration
