About the role
Cloudflare is hiring a Customer Engineer to support developer-first startups, leading technical discovery, demos, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept builds for the Cloudflare Developer Platform and AI initiatives. The role requires pre-sales experience and deep technical knowledge across AI/GenAI, networking, security, and cloud technologies.
What you’ll do
Lead technical discovery and qualification
Deliver demos and architecture discussions
Build proof-of-concept solutions
Serve as customer advocate for the Developer Platform
Translate technical concepts for engineers and C-levels
Drive technical wins and validation in accounts
What you’ll need
Experience in a pre-sales or other technical customer-facing role
Deep understanding of the Cloudflare Developer Platform and core industry components
Scripting or programming familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Golang, or BASH
Understanding of regulatory requirements such as FedRAMP, GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC-2, ISO/IEC
Ability to manage projects, work to deadlines, and prioritize competing demands
Polished communication and executive presentation skills
