Eli Lilly is seeking an Automation Architect to own the automation architecture and roadmap for its Security Architecture & Engineering team, designing reliable automation and agentic workflows while managing a small team of engineers.
What you’ll do
Own the team's automation architecture and roadmap
Design and build reliable automation and agentic workflows
Contribute to cloud and application security direction
Manage a small team of engineers
Set direction, review work, and develop engineers
Document systems and explain design decisions
What you’ll need
Strong Python skills applied to real systems including data manipulation, API clients, error handling, logging, testing, and packaging
Experience integrating systems through REST APIs including authentication, pagination, rate limiting, and retry logic
Working knowledge of cloud security and application security concepts and tooling
Experience with AI or agentic workflows applied to real work, or demonstrated aptitude
Experience leading engineers as a direct manager or technical lead ready for people management
Must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship provided
