About the role
Apple seeks a Layout/Mask Design engineer to create custom digital circuit layouts in deep SubMicron CMOS, focusing on physical design optimization, verification, and collaboration to deliver high-performance, area-efficient layouts.
What you’ll do
Generate optimal PPA layouts using floor-planning and standard cell planning
Resolve RC delay, electromigration, and self-heating issues
Shield critical signals and analyze DFM and LOD effects
Create robust power grid layouts with IR simulations
Interpret CALIBRE DRC, ERC, LVS, and DFM reports
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to meet specs
What you’ll need
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
2 years of experience in layout/mask design or related
Experience with CADENCE virtuoso layout tools
Experience with deep SubMicron CMOS technologies
Knowledge of physical design verification (DRC, ERC, LVS, DFM)
Strong collaboration and communication skills
