About the role
Instacart seeks a Director of IT Internal Audit to build and lead its internal audit function, focusing on risk-based IT audits, AI and technology risk, and team development. This remote role requires deep leadership experience in IT audit and the ability to communicate complex findings to executive audiences.
What you’ll do
Lead end-to-end IT audit delivery
Develop technology capabilities and strategic priorities for the audit function
Deliver risk-based audits in a fast-paced agile environment
Build and develop the audit team
Partner across the business to influence and drive results
Improve audit processes and practices
What you’ll need
12-15 years of progressive professional experience
At least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing IT risk-based audits
Experience building a risk-based Internal Audit function from the ground up
Working knowledge of IIA Standards
Exceptional written communication skills
CISA, CRISC, or CIA certification strongly preferred
